Why do Obama supporters expect us to be more mature than themselves?

In most negative articles, blogs, discussions or converstations about Obama, some of his supporters respond with lines like, "oh grow up!", "you're just a sore loser!", "Give him a chance!" "we need to get behind him!" I didn't hear these people saying the same thing to Bush dissenters over the last 8 years. In fact, most of the people who are quick with one of the above lines were among the worst in verbally attacking Prs. Bush. Prs. Bush has been accused of everything from secretyly paying for an abortion to mass murder. He has been called everything from "worse that Hitler" to the most vile person to ever live. I know the Obama administration is just beginning, and only time will tell what will be said of him before it's all over, but nothing said against Obama so far comes close to the filth that has been spat in Prs. Bush's proverbial face. So what is it Obama supporters? What is it about us that you expect a higher standard than you do of yourselves?

The sore loser one bugs me because they are the most sore winners I've ever seen in an election. When Gore lost I didn't see people bashing Lieberman for the next four months. I didn't see the attacks on John Edwards for months following the 2004 election either. These people are too stupid to realize that you don't inspire unity by insulting 40% of the people in this country. The worst part is that Obama has actually worked hard to inspire unity since winning. He's repeatedly stated how great Bush has been during the transition. He's complimented John McCain. John McCain and Bush have both been very supportive of him as well. The problem is with his hateful minions who spent the last 8 years preaching filth about Bush. This isn't about Iraq. They've been doing it since the day Bush was elected.

Unity is something they don't care about. "Sit down and shut up" is more like it.

Ted I just posted a discussion in politics, about an article on yahoo. After reading this I may be the most childish person you ever knew. I am so angry with this ignorant stupid man the call our President. I better stop now, or I may be on the visitors list of the secret service. All I can say is if he does this and release those animals I will never support him, no matter what he does as president. GGGGRRRR! Marilyn

Never say Never,Olive... but I don't see your anger any worse than the anger of most Democrats when Bush was elected. Just let it out and don't make it a lifesyle like they did.
