What do you do when your browser is loading for a long time?

If you are opening up a page and it's loading for a long time in your browser, what do you usually? Do you impatiently close the page? Or do you patiently wait? Do you open up another tag and read other stuff while waiting?

If a page is not loading I just keep refreshing. Try and try till you succeed. Sometimes our adsl link goes away and because of that the page stops loading. We just have to wait for say 30 seconds before it starts blinking again and then we can try refreshing the page. Sometimes even the browser hangs up. I just close the browser and if it is not ready to close I just kill the process from task bar and start afresh.

Hello wondericequeen, I am very impatient about this. When it takes more than 1 minute, I will just close down the page. Not going to wait until I fall asleep though...

I am not patient to wait for the page loading. If it has been loading for a long time, be sure I will reload it again. If it doesn't work, sometimes I even try to use another browser. Or sometimes I will ping it to see whether this server is OK or not. na

Normally, I get impatient and open another tag to view some other site.

I usually wait patiently. Sometimes you get tired, but still i do not close rather open up another tag and read others stuff.

When it happens while I'm at work I wait. While waiting I relax my eyes, go and get a cup of tea or just talk with my workmates. I don't panic. At home I don't use internet (computer) that often so I open other things to see while browser does its slow work :)

Haha, no way! This is exactly what happened to me just now with a website. xD I'm not patient enough to wait most of the time. I'll usually open other tabs or windows and browse other things while I'm waiting for the page to open. If I feel that it's really not making any progress and that waiting is useless (as I did just now), I'll just close it and try again in a couple of minutes (again, what I just did, but it didn't work =(). If other sites work it's not really a problem for me because I know then that it's probably not my computer's fault. Another thing I like to do while something is loading is walk around the house a bit or get water or a snack. I usually get up thinking, "Meh, when I come back, it should be open and I can get something done meanwhile" if I can't think of any other sites to go on. xD
