[b]did you watch it? where you there to be part of the History of the 44th US President and having an AFRICAN-AMERICAN a chance to lead the world?
i have seen it thru the television and while he was making his speech, i was impressed because he wasn't reading onto something. he knew what to say and was very confident to show the whole wide world that he is indeed of thinking and encouraging people for a big change in life. he has inspired all the blacks around the world that blacks can also rule the world and be a part of the Presidential position.

i don't think he memorized everything from the past months. it isn't that easy to memorize the whole speech or if he did, it would be pressuring right that very moment at the same it would be hard to remain consistent on what to say. it is good to see that all of us tried our very best to be a part of this historical event and i am proud of Obama. i may not have given the chance to vote for him for i live in the Philippines but the first time i saw him on television, (i am not a fortune teller if that is what you think of me) i told myself he will be elected as the next President of the year 2009.

yes i saw the event and i have to say that although he was under very much pressure which was on his face when he was taking the oath but he also looked confident. the speech that he gave not something which he wrote. this means a lot. it means that what he told is in his mind or else he could not do that.
even memorising that big a speech is not an easy job and you have to understand that, but what he did was with emotions which means it was coming out as an extempo. he must have decided upon the points that he is going to address but the sppech was not total copy paste.
any ways i hope he brings some relief to US and also to other countries as many countrie's fate depends on the growth of US economy.

I never watch that political crap! It's boring as hell and I have better things to do with my time. Besides, I think it's high time we had a woman or a black person, or fas a president, but neither clinton nor Obama is the right person for the job. I can only hope Obama doesn't screw up this country like Bush did and that he can hopefully dig us out of this darn deep hole Bush has dug us.

I watched it on TV, my city's local news were broad-casted LIVE straight from America. I liked his speech and I believe he is one of the best presidents America could hope for these days. I won't tell anything rude about Bush but it doesn't mean I don't have anything to tell about him.
Actually, I wasn't that impressed that he spoke straight away without using notes. Maybe because we are used to it, our president - specially previous women - the President of Presidents! were making nice speeches by themselves.

Yes, and I had on my Alex Ross "Super Obama" t-shirt. By the way, there are still some "Super Obama" t-shirts at selective comic book stores around the country. Get them before everyone else has one.

Yes I did. I also DVRed it and plan to transfer that to a VHS tape so I can keep it forever and when my kids do reports on it, God willing I will have kids one day, I can pull out the tape and let them watch the live version of the Inauguration on the day it occurred. Of course, by then they'll be wondering what a VHS tape is. Sort of like I wonder what an 8 track is. I've heard my parents talk about them and I sort of wonder what they are.

I live in Australia and I watched it. I was touched. Obama is going to do great things for America and I was so proud to watch him being sworn in. You're right, the fact that he is African -American is inspiring and I'm just so happy for him and the USA.

I watched Obama's speech on TV, the most powerful speech I ever heard of a dignitary. I had guests at my place, but we all were waiting eagerly for the time of his speech. He has a charisma which kept us all spellbound during his speech. Most admirable thing was that he didn't read it, it was a very well prepared speech.

I watched it here at Moms and the repair person that was here sat down to watch it with us. I can tell you I had a tear or two from time to time during the ceramony. I think the whole world watched. Here in Az. they showed different countries watching. I feel like this is the first time since Clinton and Kennedy that we have a chance to really make a change and do right. Not only for our people who have lost their homes like me. Also for the world. I think he has a vision for thew real things in life and it haas to carry over into the things. I know government is corrupt almost everywhere and it is no different here, Just more undercover. I would like to see all the Politicians take a 20% pay cut until this economic disaster gets straightened out.
