how many of you guys have or had braces fixed in you teeth ?

hey guys. how many of you have or had braces fixed in your teeth. its been 6 months since i got this thing done. i have a lot of difficulty in doing a lot of things like eating. i can't even smile properly. i feel very funny. it makes me look worse.
what were the problems faced by you guys? any kind of tips will be appreciated.

Yes, I had them for 3 years. However it has been 5 years since I have had them off and I was telling my husband last night that my teeth were moving again and I didnt like it so I am going to go and talk to my orthodontists.

I had to wear braces for almost four years, and I was miserable. It took some time, but I managed to adjust to them. I constantly brushed my teeth and rinsed my mouth until I felt like they were a "normal" part of me. I had a hard time smiling, too, but then I realized that I couldn't keep hiding what was going to be a part of me for so long. If people didn't like my smile, they didn't have to look. If they made rude comments, I told them it didn't bother me (even though it did) and they were wasting their time trying to get to me - so they stopped eventually.
