I had seen many people not having potatoes because they believe that potato increases weight. Is that ture? I dont think so. I like potato in every style boiled, fried, baked, sauted, etc. Mostly I like to have french fry. I will suggest people to have food withing being afraid about increasing weight. Feel free to have anything you want. then only you will become healthy.

I love potatoes and when I was a child in UK we had potatoes every day. BoILed, fried, roasted, steamed they were always on the table daily. I move about less nowadays though so I have to eat less potatoes. I rarely eat them fried but Ilove to have them boiled, cooled and seasond with salt, olive oil and basil. Goes lovely with just about anything! I agree that a little of what you fancy does you good and if you fancy everything that should do you even better!

Really? I was not aware of that. My flat is very small and if I fry it smells for ages afterwards, especially during the winter when I opoen the windows less. I just make do without frying them so often and I don't really miss them.

potato is carbo. and too much carbo that isn't burnt off will settle as fats, hence increasing weight.

yes of course potato contains lot of starch. If eaten in large quantities it is bound to increase weight.also it has a high glycemic index.. Sweet potatoes and yams however have a low glycemic index, hence better than potatoes.
