Growing and seling plants and veg

hi, does anyone here grow and sell their own plants or fruit and veg to up their income?
just thought id ask, as im looking into doing this, we have a fair bit of land at the back of our house, and my stepdad has just purchased a large poly tunnel.
he is starting to grow bedding plants to sell.
does anyone do this already, if so is it profitable?

I don't grow my own as I don'y have much luck in growing anything but I do know the markets we have here in melbourne where people go to sell their home grown and home made things are very popular, people like home grown vegies, i hope things go well for you if you decide to do it.
