How did you feel about the Presidential Inauguration on yesterday?

My co-workers were all excited about the Presidential Inauguration. That was the talk of the day the entire day. Today, a co-worker told me in a jokingly manner, that President Obama and him have many similarities. He stated they both were African American, the both are left handed and they both keep their haircuts low. I laughed, as it was funny. I do think it is a historical event indeed. I am not impressed by all of the hype, that the Media keeps showing the public. I am not impressed by the fact that there is an African American man in the office. I will be impressed if he is able turn the economy around, create more jobs for people, put an end to this war on terrorism and live up to his word. This discussion is open for those who voted for President Obama, who didn't vote for him and for those that didn't vote at all. My prayers are with President Obama for wisdom, protection and courage. I know it takes time for anything of magnitude to take place in a person's life, much more in the lives of millions of people. Are you ready to see some results as I am? Are you tired of the hype? Did you watch the Inauguration on television?

I know what you mean. Why waste the gray hairs that don't need to come any sooner than they are truly supposed too.

A big job is a saying it mildly. I agree that I believe he is capable of doing the job, I'm just frustrate with the Media.

It was definately a historical event. Moving to say the least. I am excited to see the things he will do for this country. Everyone is ready for the change he offers and I'm not sure it can happen in one term all he needs to do. What he has taken on is massive. I think he has gotten off to a wonderful start. There is alot of hype but I think it's just because people need him so much right now. He must feel a great weight to have everyones expectations so high. I am ready to see results too hdjohnson. I anxiously await.

Tennessee Jen thanks so much for your comment. I agree he has a lot of expectations from Americans, and as well as others in other countries. He has indeed gotten off to a great start. Let's continue to support him with our prayers that he operates in the wisdom of God in every decision that he is faced with. It would be great if people around the world put so much effort and focus on the return of King. That would be totally awesome.

I am impressed by the fact that Obama became president. His words resonated with a lot of Americans and I hope that his actions are as good as his words. Cheers!!

I agree, and hope his decisions, actions and wave of CHANGE resounds in the lives of the many Americans and ultimately the world. Thanks for your input. It appears that President Obama is the underdog with his new position. Let's hope that he ends up like Rocky Balboa in each of his films where he won.

Yesterday's Presidential Inauguration is the talk of the town not only in the US but in the whole world. All the flaws that went through in Obama's inauguration showed the nature of a man, that man is capable of making mistakes. In Obama's oath taking we noticed that there were some mistakes but it only proved that the new president is only human. He commits mistakes, too. Let us just hope that it was only in the oath taking and not in the important decisions that he will make for the whole world.

Here! Here! Cheers! Bravo! Kewl Beans! I agree with what you have typed here. Let's us all pray that those mistakes were only for that day, and not for the more important decisions that lay ahead.
