is there any chance that i could get a good snowboard for a cheap price?

im just learning how to do it but i love it! and i dont want to keep renting one everytime we go. is there anyplace that i could get a good deal on one? and boots?

i would suggest when the season is over the board shops around here have 50% sales to make room for next years newest styles i always hit up those sales it's a great time to stock up your gear with "quality" and "new" gear for next years season there is nothing worse then being trapped on the hill with a piece of crap snowboard.

around here it's normally over around the time the mountain closes, around late spring to early summer. when ever the snow melts

Although this may sound cheap, keep an eye out for old boards that stores are having trouble getting rid of; they usually discount heavily these boards. For example, my current board, a K2 Access model was stuck in the store since 2005, and so when I bought it last winter I got it for dirt cheap; only $199! But if you're a beginner you can just go to like sportmart or something and get a beginner board for like $100 bucks which is really sweet for you =)
