have anyone been camping and what can i expect if i go?

i have never been camping and i love the great outdoor.iam affraid of snakes and bears and other craweling things.how can i feel comfortable going camping.iam wondering if i go will it be safe to embark on such a trip.the not knowing scares the crap out of me.have you ever been camping before and did you have a good time are was you scared to be in the woods like that.

How long will you be going for? I was scared and saw a couple of snakes before but thay weren't at my campsite. They were off in the woods when I went hiking. Creatures usually stay away from the campsite because of the fire/smoke and of course because you are there. They don't want anything to do with you either so they will often times flee the scene as fast as you would.lol. Take some mosquito repellent though. Those little devils love the company.

it,s a surprise i just have to make up my mind do i want to go camping jen talk me into it i said i would never go on a camping trip because iam so scared of snakes.i live near a creek and when i came home one day a snake laying at the door omg i was so scared i can,t take it.mosquitoes love me they suck me like a lemon and iam always sweet because iam diabetic so i have reaction to mosquitoe bites i really feel it,s a bad ideal.

LOL...you should try it just once. If it's a quick trip you should go. Just take repellent and your awesome attitude. At first just commit to one night..that way you see what your getting into.You may really like it.Drive yourself that way you can get out of dodge in case you really hate it.If your with people you really like alot..it will help make your time better.

Same here, I also am afraid of snakes and bears and other wild animals so I never dare to go on camping. I think I will never enjoy that although I know lots of adventurous people who love the thrill of this activity. But not me, I always want to be in a more comfortable and safer zone.

i second that emotion iam so scred of snakes if one crawl in my tent it over with for me iam telling iam going home if iam a live after i see it lol.

Hey annjilena! I haven't been camping in many years but I used
to love to go! It was so much fun being outside in the fresh
air. It wasn't too scary! We used to bring lots of food and
sleeping bags and warm clothes and had what we needed to
cook outside and it was fun. I was much younger then so I
didn't mind getting dirty and missing showering and being
a little bit uncomfortable. It was exciting. We even went
on a canoe trip for three days down the Delaware River and
we had to canoe and pack up our campsite and set it up again
for two nights. It was alot of work and very tiring, but we
had fun! Don't worry you will be fine!

hi annji
i have a great experience .. we were invited to a private island, me + my husband + another couple and the island owner ..
it was great experience we had to go on a small "fishing boat" at 4am as the tide is in .. it was raining on the boat trip .. we saw the sunrise ..
then .. when we reach near the island the corals did not allow the boat to get closer so we had to go by small boat ..
then we were in the island, it was a romantic thing but as you said i was also very scared as the island was not habitat and no water source ..
we had to go toilet on the ground or sea .. i brought some materials for cooking so we cought fish and cooked fresh fish
then we slept under the stars ..
