What is the best age to get married?

Ok, so please do not say that if you're financially stable or emotionally ready. That's common. Let's talk about a specific age. What do you think is the best age to settle down? I've seen some couples who were married early because of unwanted pregnancy and there are some late marriage coz of their busy working schedule and for their respective careers. What's your take?

It depends a lot on the personalities involved and what their aims are in life. I got married when I was 30, my wife is the same age and we weren't thinking about starting a family (we do have a daughter now...). If you want a family then I would say that you should think about starting one when you are between about 25 and 30 - that should give you time to have a couple of children before you are too old to cope with it (we had a child at 39 which is fine as long as you don't plan to have a whole bunch of kids at that age...) If you don't plan to have kids then it doesn't matter what age you are I guess, some people are ready at 18, other wait until they are 60. It also depends on the culture you are in, in the UK it is very difficult to buy your own home without a decent income, so most people don't buy a home until they are in their 30's. My 'take' is that everyone has their own agenda's and there is no real 'optimum age' however I would say that I would be concerned about those wanting to get married before they are about 22, and would say you have to be married by 35 if you want to start a family.
