how many is too many?

I have had my tongue peirced twice, nose peirced twice and my belly button. I have no serious work or family obligations so for now I feel free to do what I want to my body. I do not think you need to worry about people seeing you as a freak, they may but thats there own problem. I have a friend who used to have over 100 hundred peircings in his face. He only has about 50 of them left now because some of them grew out, but he is now doing dermal implants, which are pretty permenant and cant grow out. Anyways, he has two kids now, both of them grown up but they also have children. His grandchildren love him very much and have absolutely know problems with a weird grandpa. (He is also tattooed basically from head to toe) Anyways, people may see him as a freak but the people who he actually cares about love and accept him. Hope this helps.

I'm a mother of 3 and I'm 26. I had 5 piercings, but I let two heal up. I have my nose, belly button and another down south. I have thought about getting my tongue redone, but I'm not sure. I'm really thinking about my nips getting done again. I think it doesn't matter how old you are. My mom was 36 or 37 when she started getting piercings. She is 45 and still has most of them. On her left ear alone she has 9 piercings. She has industrial, eyebrow, nose, tongue, nips and down south. She had let her eyebrow grow back. I believe in expressing yourself. I love tats and piercings. My husband had his ears pierced and pa done, but he let his ears grow back and I HATED IT!! I thought he look so hot, but oh well. I'm still going to get a couple more tats, but I think you should express yourself.

There is no such thing as "too many" as far as I'm concerned...if a person wants tons of tats or piercings then thats fine..I have had a couple of peircings and will be getting more along with tats this yr...I know ppl who have dozens of peircings and hey thats cool with me so long as they are happy with it and its what THEY want (rather than doign it for someone else or social status etc).... Whats some of the weird ones? WOW, in all honesty I cant think of any I'd personally consider "weird".

hi amanda..i don't like piercing..maybe too old for that knowbut i guess i cant tolerate pain and everything..and im afraid of infection or the side effects...tongue? well..how does it feel then ? is it comfortable enough to eat? or even talk..i had a distant niece who love body piercing and im wondering why she cant pronounce well with words as though something was in her mouth...and i saw it in her tonque..

I don't think there is ever a "too much" thing. I know that I'm not getting my brows done because well I've got really pretty eyebrows lol, no need to add something and take away. I think it's really dependent upon the person though. Each person will know what looks good, how many is a good number for them, etc. I plan to get two more, plus I'm guaging my ears up to 1 inch.
