My hubby works long hours but he also only works 3-4 days a week. On his days off he won't do much of anything unless it's an absolute necessity. Granted I'm not the most domestic but YEASH! I've got a huge list of things I need him to do & what does he do? On his days off all he does is lay around, surf'n the net, eat, and play Wii. I know it's winter but WTH?!?!? And BTW none of the previously listed is a turn on either! *LOL* I have dishes piling up sky high because I have no help doing them and our dishwasher isn't draining properly. He tells me to use it & I refuse to as I end up re-washing half the stuff anyway by hand so why bother KWIM? He certainly won't touch a dish unless company is comming over to help me out nonetheless empty the remains into the trash. Why can't he just look at it and see what the problem is??? If he won't look at it I'm wheeling it curbside I've had enough of looking @ it and not being able to use it! GRRRR! That's only my biggest peve at the minute but it's annoying.

Men, what a pain, eh? My wife used to have a problem getting me to do things after a long hard week and I would tell her to just make a list of things that need to be done and put them on the fridge. Three years later and she was still complaining about things not getting done. I would tell here to make a list and put it on the fridge. Time passes, she still complains and nothing gets done. Then one day I walked in the kitchen and there was a list on the fridge. I almost fell over backwards but guess what????? I did everything on the list in record time so she tried putting up another list of things that needed to be done and I did those. We have been married for 26 years now and when she puts a list on the fridge I do it almost immediately and you know that's all I asked for the first 5 years of marriage. :)

I'm glad you finally came around :) Now can you teach my hubby of almost 9 yrs?!?!?! I don't do lists anymore they never get done. I'm waiting for him to finish my baseboards in the kitchen and hall way & we've had this house 7 yrs! All I get is get a miter and just cut it on an angle. Yeah... I'm "not allowed" to use a cheese grater (cut my self bad one time, I was going to fast and not paying attention) & he's going to let me use a saw! **rolling eyes** So what was it that made you look @ that list & actually do the things on it?

I think you missed my point. :) My wife would ask me to do things and I would always say make a list and put it on the fridge, but she didn't get around to doing that for years but the day she actually put up a list I completed that list the same day. It took her years to realize that if she just made a list and put it up I would get the jobs done. I can't explain why I would always say later, maybe it's a man thing but the point is that when she finally started making a list the jobs got done in record time. :)

Sounds like my dad. My mom had to do it all and work 40+ hours a week to boot. That is why I am lucky. My hubby really tries to lend a helping hand. Even if he doesn't do it the way I would. I'd be annoyed too.

Well, i see a communication issue here, talk to your husband and let him understand your frustrastion. Work something out that both of you can have some time together to relax.
