We have just finished watching the film The Big White today and I think it is another unique film by Robin Williams. This is an old film already but we are always interested on films done by this great actor. At the same time, we usually check the story on the back of the cd before we watch it and we became interested when we read it. It was a story of a man played by Robin Williams who was bankrupt at that time and his wife is mentally sick and needs treatment. The humor in the film was not in Robin Williams character but all situational. The setting was on an icy part of the world. Robin William’s brother in the story has not returned for more than five years. He thought his brother was already dead and he needed money because of his bankruptcy so decided to file an insurance claim stating that his brother is already dead. But he can’t prove him dead without a body. One day, he saw a dead body on the thrash dam beside his office. In desperation, he got the body and made it appear that it was his brother. Before he was able to claim a million dollar insurance claim for that body, a lot of problems occurred which were actually not totally hilarious but somewhat funny, like how he hid the body on his home (the body looks terrifying though but hilarious because the eyes are still open as he kept it inside his ref) when his brother returned, how an insurance man played by Giovanni Ribisi ( I like this actor very much) kept on bugging him and finding loops on his claim, and his hilarious wife whose sickness is impulsive swearing and foul mouthing. There was a good ending but I did not like it because I feel that what he did is still wrong whatever his intentions were. For me, the results didn’t justify the means.

I watched it a few weeks back. Surprisingly great movie. I haven't really cared much for many of mr robinsons latest movies, but this one was really great.
