Could you make pancakes from cake batter?

I'm just wondering if it would be feasible to make pancakes from cake batter? They are both around the same consistency and I was just thinking about how great it would be to make cherry chip pancakes, and how that might solve my cake cravings. Thanks!

OK, so now i'm hungry and want cake...lol. This sounds like an awesome idea to try out. I know I make cookies from cake mixes and they turn out great. I've seen recipes for making muffins from cake mixes as well. I'm gonna have to try this out sometime....or maybe even waffles!

That is an interesting idea. You could try. I think the main difference in pancake mix and cake mix would be in the type of flour that is in them. I haven't baked a cake from a box in years. If I remember right you just add milk eggs and oil and it is the same with pancakes. You may want to add less milk to the cake mix. I would give it a try and then if the mix is too thick then add some more milk to get the consistency you want for the pancakes. If you decide to try it let us know how it worked.
