Has anyone been to paradise?

Last night i booked a holiday for my wife's 40th birthday on the 13th March. I have booked us 2 weeks on the carribean island called the Dominican Republic. Has anyone been on this island? What did you think of it? What has been your dream holiday or what would your dream holiday be?
