Love is a Double Edged Sword

I am of the opinion that love is a double edged sword. On one side it cuts though life with ease, since love can motivate people to excel in the things that they do. In one case a man succeeded in life because the love he chose pushed him towards success. On the other side it can cut the person holding it. I believe many of us have seen the lives of people we know being cut into pieces because they were unable to handle it well. Another man depraved himself after losing his love because of his inaptitude in love. The first man is my close friend. The second man is a friend of a friend. Any comments? rosdimy

Love is a single edged sword. If you choose the right love in your life, it add wings to your life and you excel with flight. If you choose the wrong love in your life, you try to sharpen it along the way.

Thank you for the disagreement It seems we are discussing something on parallel lines which may not be a bad thing. You are talking about one love at a time. I am talking about the single love which needs to be handled properly. With correct handling we can move forward in happiness. Incorrect handling of the same love can destroy us. We may not be separated from the one we love, but we destroy ourselves by becoming a slave to it. Forgive me for not making it clear in my discussion. I am not giving you a negative, so do not worry. Thsnk you for your response. all the best, rosdimy

Almost everything in life is double edged. The two sides of the coin, as it is called. So love is no exception to that rule. It can make you happy as it comes and leaves a bad taste in the mouth as it leaves. But as they say, it is better to have loved and fallen than never have fallen in love in the first place

There are things in life which are difficult to understand unless we have experienced it, like love. Love itself is a broad subject with many aspects related to it. Each aspect has two sides, positve and negative, yin and yang. IT appears you may have experienced both sides from one love, or saw someone else suffering from it. Thank you for your response. All the best in your present and future life. rosdimy
