before. As for me,my answer to this is sometimes yes and sometimes no. well, if I am not that busy and in a good mood, I still respond to some discussions even I already responded on same topic before. I just think that somehow, the person who started that discussion do not really know that the topic he or she started had been posted earlier. I just put myself on his or her shoes. Maybe its just an accident. But sometimes, when I am too busy, I not respond to those discussions. I just choose another unique topic and commented on it. How about you guys? How do you deal with repeated discussions on mylot?

I sometimes get aggravated when i see things repeated. Especially if i see it five or more times in a month. I still reply though because those people obviously are newbies and haven't seen the previous discussions.

Yes, why not? i still make a comment to a topic that is quite the same with the topic i've just responded to.. you know, there might have multiple discussions with same topic but they might be different in some ways..ie, thoughts, ideas, angles, etc..

Oh yes the more I can relate. Anyway it's just similar not a xerox copy. I would see to it however, that my response differs somehow with the previous one I commented. Right we can not check whether a topic was already discussed easily and we post what comes to our mind right away. For sure there would be little differrences with every topic discussed. They're maybe related so expectedly there are similarities with our responses as well.

Yes. Even if the topics are similar. Other people would still be there to discuss it. So, there will be a shift of the discussion depending on who started to talk. Making the topic colorful, readable, and enjoyable. So, keep those ideas flowing and share them.

I also answered the same questions when i have the time and in the mood. Its just that maybe, he/she didn't browse all the discussions before posting. I have that tendency also to repeat a discussion because i didn't have the time to see all the discussions before that i need to know so i just ask directly by posting. And I'm thankful that there are persons who still responded on my question.

No I wouldn't because then I would want to just copy and paste my previous answer, and I think that's not allowed right? Because if it was allowed then people would do that all day, just pick a specific topic and paste the same answer over and over.

Yes, I would do so. After all, it is a topic that interest me. Sometimes, we all get to learn new things from the same topic but from different contributors. I have always find that this is the best way to educate ourself on different topics without having to dig around the cyberspace.

Why not? Many discussions here are recycled anyway and still there will be people responding to them for the first time. It's a matter of timing. For me, even if the question is similar, there may be a different angle to it, that is different from your discussion. To me, as long as I can contribute to his discussion and add value, I would respond.

I have done it in the past and usually to topics that were posted wide apart. They may be similar but can be approached in different ways. So far I have not responded to similar topics demanding the same answer. I believe in coincidences because it has happened to me before this but they cannot be happening all the time. Whenever I had uncertainties the topics were left alone. For all I know the posting under question may get deleted for violating the guidelines. all the best, rosdimy

Yes. I do respond to topics that I've answered before if they have atleast a 4 hour difference. If I know this person purposely copied the discussion because they knew it was getting alot of responses, then I would not respond. Because those people are selfish. I've searched topics before and there are many that are the same. Sometimes it's good to bring up the same discussion if the last time it was made was about 2 years ago, because then people can discuss it again. :)

I would be disappointed, but as long as I have an idea that I can share with the discussion that ok for me. Actually that already happened a few days ago, the title is very similar, as in all words, but then he maybe does not know that it has been discussed, I just informed him though, and continue to give my opinion, hehehehehe.

Well in this case yeah I guess. i mean it kinda depends how similar the questions are. I mean they might be the same, but most likely I probably will just respond to them, becasue it is a different person lol. I like to be very fair as I can. I think that it would be fine to respond. Sometimes you answers might be different.
