Why do hackers and viruse engineer used their ability in destroying.

It is a bit like paying kidnappers and demands from terrorists. Once you pay them they do it again and again. They can also get 'payment' in another form. If they write a virus that disrupts a company then that company can employ the hacker to keep other hackers out. Sort of 'poacher turned gamekeeper'. I'm sure a lot of virus makers do it to proove their worth to other virus writers/hackers.

i will say thata just because of curiousity or something like that! now think what if you know how to write a virus programme or you know how to get access to a thing that is restricted to the rest of the world!i swear you too will doo this! or atleast you'll just give it a try and i'm sure you will repeat it again and agian! tye basic reason is people always wnat everything free,easy! they dont wanna pay or dont wanna work hard! Just think in a very practical manner.i know you have the answer! Goodday!

I think hackers do it because they want to prove that they can. Some people are just really annoying and want to destroy other people's things, not just hackers. I don't know any hackers but I do know some people in the anti-virus industry though. I don't think the cyber police can do much about it. They can block the hackers' IP addresses and freeze all their accounts but these hackers are smart and can probably undo what these cyber police do. These guys should get arrested and put in jail so that they are separated from computers and are unable to create more viruses. I wish we could have a peaceful cyberlife but as long as there are malicious people in the world, all we can do is protect ourselves.

ya buddy i also think this some times that why there people use their ability in destroying why don;t they use their mind in developing any software that can help use from protecting our system from any damage i also don't think so why they do this?

you know why they create these viruses & stuff, one is that they are getting paid, huge amount for a small work that too which they love the most. Second the joy you get when you outsmart someone & take control of things. Third obviously when you get your hand on someone else valuable info you tend to sell it to other companies to a higher rate or to the one from whom they stole itself to a good rate. Anyways they are the gainers.

they do it for different puposes. It is done to steal credit card details , find out about someone, steal the code and then re-do it to use for own purpose. it is done on Windows operating system, etc so that they find out how it is made. once they find out, they will try to make similar softwares.
