Went into town picked up a friend and took a drive to the mountains. It was nice even though there was snow on the ground. But it seemed to be a good day for a nice drive with a friend. Coming back down the mountain in a bad area the drop off was rather big as it was the side of the mountain. A patch of ice was hit and the truck started sliding It spun out of control, we hit the guard rail. The truck slide all the way down the rail. The rail got the whole side of the truck everything from front to back, even the bumper. When it finally stopped everyone was okay. No injuries to speak of....just the truck. Now comes the problem how do we explain the truck? Oh wow it is messed up! Now I'm at the computer...probably on my lot, lol. When my brother and his friend walk in. The first words out of his friends mouth is we need you to walk outside. I look at him and ask where is my brother? He said oh he's outside with the truck. I look at him bewildered as I'm getting up from the computer. I walk out and the friend is explainging the accident. He says your brother is afraid you are going to kill us. You See it was my truck and my brother had taken it to town just to get something from the store. He decided to go see his friend and they wound up on the scenic ride of their lives. I looked at my truck didn't say a word and walked back into the house to get the phone to call the insurance company. I wasn't thinking of killing them as they thought. I just wanted the insurance man to come and give me the money to fix my truck! I knew they were okay, not even a scratch which was great, now my truck on the other hand $4,000. worth of damage as I find out. I'm really glad I have such a sweet nature and hold my compossure when I need to or I would have stranggled my brother and his friend. I said you were just going to the store. I thought you'd go by your friends and check in but I didn't know you were going into the mountains on a snowy day with the truck. Well, everything turned out okay. I didn't strangle him or his friend. What would you have done? How do you think you would have reacted? Thank you for responses.

Well i tend to over react sometimes. I may of cried in a situation like that. I have lost control of the wheel before because of gravel. I ended up crashing into a ditch then a driveway and went flying in the air for a few feet. I can't explain much in that situation cause i blacked out some of the time. Its weird.

OMG, were you okay? It must have been a bad way and place to find yourself when you woke up! I know some people do over-react. I usually don't. I maintain composure until things are all over and then if I need to I fall apart. Thanks for responding.

I didn't fall asleep. I blacked out. Which means i was conscious but blacked out the memory. Like i was so terrified that the memory just blacked out. I dont' know how to explain it. There was people near by that said they heard me screaming so loud the whole time. I don't remember though.

First off I would thankGod that my brother and his friend was not hurt..Then I would ask what happened..Then I would probably get mad.I would be so nervous thinking about what could have happened, I don't know what I would do.I would probably bawl my brother out and not let him use my vehicle anymore. Then I would probably start crying.thinking about what could have happened. Gods blessings to you.
