Does anyone have a cat, that has dermatitis? My cat tigger is 4 years old, saved her for along side a road when she was just a little kitten, almost starved. Brought her home, fed her, got her back to good health. Four years now she never wanted to go out of the house. I had tigger to a vet with this problem abut 2 years ago he gave me these little white pills for her to take. They worked great, only thing is the vet put no name on them, It only says allergies/itch take one or tow a day as needed. well what ever they were they worked great. Tigger now is having this skin problem again, and my ver retired, Just my luck. Now i am with a new vet. Maybe someone can help me out here with the name of this medication, so i can prevent a huge vet bill, we all know they can get exepnsive. My cat tigger is not sick, with vomiting and she eats, so she is doing great, except for this skin problem, she gets at times. I purchsed one of those automatic cat litter boxes, works great. I got her science diet sensitive food. i tried allergy pills on her, which the vet i go to now recommended, Not working, I am taking it she need a precription medication, or anitbotics. Any suggestions on this, or did anyone experience this with there cat.

Is your cat on advantage or something else for fleas. The cat may have an allergy to fleas. I have one cat that if I don't get the advantage on him right away and he gets 1 flea on him he starts something like that. The other thing a vet told me to add a little olive oil to their wet food and it will help. My dog gets nevous and then she chews herself the vet recommended I try olive oil in her food and on the chew spots. It might help. If you still have the medicine bottle take it to the vet you now have. Maybe they have a way to figure out what it was.

Thanks for the response. I had to take my puppie to get his rabie shot the other day, and i took a sample of my Tiggers hair i combed. And sure enough a reaction of flea. Only thing i did not understand she does not have fleas. I checked her very good and i could not even see one. But the vet put her on some medication, to clear her up. She only takes it when she gets this reaction. I am so glad i did not have to take her, She hates the cars and the carrier i have to put her in. I feel so bad and talk to her when i have to put her in it. Thankfull to say Tigger is clearing up now.

I am so glad that your precious kitty is doing better. So it was fleas after all. Sometimes you can't see then they hide really well. Anyway it is a great out come!!! I am very glad for you and your kitty.

You might want to try bathing her like once a week and see if that will help her. You could probably also search on the internet using dematitus as the search term There is often good information about many subjects on there. My cat is sometimes scratching also, but it doesn't seem to be a serious thing.
