Are you a volunteer, and what is the most impressive memory as a volunteer?

I learn from tv that 500 volunteers joined a couple in helping the blind with enjoying movies. The couple set up a club at their home in Beijing, inviting the blind to enjoy movies. They literally cast the movies and simultaneously sharing the background and characters, colorful and vivid. The volunteers start their duty by self introduction about appearance, clothing, major, job, family, etc. The home is so friendly that the members take it their own home, which is named "Voice of Heart".

I do volunteer at a local history museum. I am a docent in the museum and try to answer people's questions they may have about the museum. It is an interesting volunteer job. It is fun when someone comes in and gives me information about the exhibits that I did not know previously.

I volunteer whenever I can. Now it's harder because I have a toddler, but I used to do alot more and now I try to do what I can. I volunteer at the local high school and serve meals to the poor/homeless on Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving. I follow each stint with delivering meals to the housebound. I used to belong to the VFW, and as a member of the Women's Auxillary, I used to volunteer at the Vet Shelters. We used to collect things for them, like toothbrushes, hats/mittens, warm socks, blankets, personal grooming items, gift certificates for food. I used to love and hate the trip in to the city because it showed so many emotions. I used to love it becasue I loved giving these guys something to smile about. I used to hate it because I couldn't do more.

I do a volunteer work, I have many memories. So many smiles on the little orphans faces, I give them Jesus! And he keeps the kids happy for life, even though things may be tough for them, I know Jesus is always going to help them!
