I was in the hospital wed. and thurs for a cardioversion. That is when they shock your heart to make it go back into rhythm. It did n't work, so they gave me some medication, which didn't work, either. So, they tried shocking my heart again. This time it worked, but later on my heart stopped beating for 5-8 seconds. My head became very dizzy and almost cold. It felt very wierd. It was like a invisible net was being drawn up across my face, from the chin up. They came running with the crash cart and when they realized that it had started beating again they told me what had happened. It happened over and over again, but toward morning it stopped. It then went into to a flutter, which it is still doing. I will have to go back in 4 weeks for an oblation, which is done with a cather up your leg. Anyhow, I now know what it feels like when your heart stops beating. I hope I don't find out the rest for a good long time!

Wow, I hope they are able to get your heart functioning like it should soon and I also hope that you don't find out the rest for a good long time either. While you're waiting for the next procedure please pay careful attention to how you are feeling. If you start to feel bad please don't hesitate to go to the hospital incase something is going on. It's better to find out that it's nothing than to wait too long if it's something. Good luck to you.
