I have been thinking about Microsoft corporation and how it operates and I cant help thinking that there could be some similarities between Bill and Bernard.I have two reasons for saying this : I have been thinking about Microsoft corporation and how it operates and I cant help thinking that there could be some similarities between Bill and Bernard. I have two reasons for saying this : 1) He charges you for a new operating system every time and basically every operating system after windows 95 is an upgrade of the previous one. I am thinking that the price of such a operating system should be less after all we are paying for an upgrade. 2)He forces us to switch to the new operating system because pretty soon he will stop offering upgrades and patches for the old Operating system, hats pretty much like extortion. 3 At one point he was trying to bundle certain software like windows media player with his OS in an effort to block software companies that manufacture music players. No wonder he was slapped with a fine in Europe for this very reason Don’t get me wrong I like windows and I use windows but often I cant help but thinking that I am being extorted and I cant help but notice that both Maddorf and Gates have a 50 billion dollar payout for their activities. Consequently if you can help me dispel the notion that both men seem to be cut from similar cloth and I open to reasons. So computer technocrats ,business persons, lovers of Microsoft and persons who feel they are being swindled too please respond ,maybe I don’t understand all the facts

There are lots of differences. One is Maddorf takes the money that investors have trusted him with and makes it his own. Gates uses the money he has made to help others. I don't see where he has stolen from anyone. We don't have to buy anything he puts out. He has made his money without stealing. We may not like it that he charges for the new programs, but it's his right to do so. I think it was the Java program that got the company in trouble. By the way, he is Chairman of the Board, but no longer goes to the office day to day. His partner is now the big guy at Microsoft, although they do get together for big decisions for the company. It has never been just Bill Gates. He had a partner, but you heard Bill Gates' name all the time because he was the voice of the company.

Ok well I did say that he was behind Maddorf and you are right he doesnt really steal money and I dont have to buy his programs but with the prolific nature of microsoft products,it is somewhat difficult to avoid buying microsoft products.I still maintain even though I concede he is different from Maddorf that he is a ripoff ,a brilliant man but a ripoff
