I Made Fish Pie for The First Time!

yes guys, I just made my very first fish pie! It was really good. And I'm so proud of myself. Yesterday, I went to a free cooking class on a budget. And the first recipe we did was fish pie. You see even though I live most of my life eating fish that I even say to myself I'll be having fish scales and fin soon, I don't know how to make fish pie which is common here in Ireland. I'm really glad that I joined the class. My question is this, have you ever tried doing something that made you feel proud that you made it? I mean there are times that we don't like what were doing but we feel we have to do it and in the end we feel glad we did it. Ever feel that way?

I did make a baked cheese cake I was very pleased with in the end though I thought it would probably go wrong. I make fish pies too there are loads of different recipes out there for it, I made this one last night: http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/1372/fish-pie-with-swede-and-potato-topping It's really nice and an interesting idea to use swede as well as potato, I just added a bit too much pepper where it says to season with pepper.

Thanks nancy. To be honest with you, I'm not the type who learn by reading on the recipe. I find it has too much ingredients sometimes that I don't think I really need and it could've have been simplier. But I will look at the site you mentioned and try to do it to suit me. Happy posting!

I found there wasn't really enough fish mixture for my baking dish, I'd add more prawns if you have a big dish like me.

That's a good idea as I love prawns myself.
