"God Bless America" and "One Moment in Time." These were the songs sung by Charice during the pre-inaugural ball. She received a standing ovation for her powerful singing. Filipinos should be proud of her because a fellow Filipino was invited to sing in a big and momentous event together with the big singing stars. Would you be proud of your fellow countrymen if they were invited in that kind of event? "God Bless all Nations of the World!"[em]happy[/em]

Hello djoyce71! I am really proud of Charice Pempengco. I got shocked when I heard on the news that Charice will sing on the inaugural ball. Can you believe that? But then, it's true. Charice is one symbol that filipinos are talented. Go filipinos!

Indeed we are very proud of that since I guess she is the first Pinay to have been able to attend and perform in one of the important events of the inauguration of the new President of US. I think she has a long way to go if she would really pursue her career in the US if the way Americans appreciate her performance is really very true. But despite this she still performs locally and for that I admire her for doing that. It still looks very Filipino despite the opportunity being offered from abroad looks tempting to grab.

I think she will sign a contract already when she gets back there in America. I just hope she succeeds there, but won't forget Philippines.

Well that is another honor for our country. Imagine that little girl was given standing ovation on that very memorable day attended by the who's who in America We have enough reasons to be proud of her. I always take pride seeing our fellowmen being recognized internationally. They have given the Philippines the chance to be noticed in the international scene despite being just a poor third world country.
