When was the last time you got really, really sick?

I'm the type of person who simply doesn't go succumb to a simple cold without a fight. My sibs get sick easily, but I don't. I'd like to attribute it to eating bananas and avoiding multivitamins as much as possible.
Today, though, I got up a little woozy. I can't swallow well, and then my mom said I had a nasty case of sore throat. The fever followed a little later, and I ended up sleeping the entire day away. I felt too cold, and I slept in a room without any ACs, but I was still shivering. Thank God that I'm finally feeling a bit better, though.
How about y'all? When was the last time you got sick?
...oh yeah. Until today, I didn't get this sick for the longest time. My attendance from high school up to now is totally spotless, so... =P

Sick or being sick... whoa I detest it Ive been up for some time now, anytime i feel somehow i quickly take good care of my self cause I cant afford to be sick now- I just relocated and one cant get simple medicine to treat yourself here... so I must not be sick.

I got sick on Christmas Day actually. I got food poisoning. Then, a couple of days later, I got the flu, and that turned into pneumonia. I am still coughing up some chest congestion, but thankfully, I am feeling much better. For about a week, however, I would have had to have felt better to die. I haven't been that sick in a long time...

I never get sick.....that being said, I knew as soon as I said it, I got sick. I am dealing with the flu and strep throat that my daughter shared with me. Oh so much fun! My body aches, my throat is sore, and I feel like crud! I am freezing and have a heating pad on me all the time and still can't get warm. My house is a mess right now, because I cannot clean it for lack of energy! Hope I feel better soon, that goes for you too.

Like you, I don't get sick very often which is great for me. I am a Junior in college and still live in the dorms and the cold and flu fly through these halls extremely fast. I usually get away with only a sniffle for a day or two, but last year it had me down for two weeks. I didn't want to get out of bed the entire time but I only missed two days of classes. I hate missing class and a couple of my teachers e-mailed me to see what was wrong. Im in a small college where the professors get to know us, much like they did in high school. That was a horrible two weeks and so far this year I'm doing good.
