I am considering switching all my cleaning products to all natural biodegradable ones. Such as laundry detergent, dish soap, general cleaner, etc. Do you use "green" cleaning products? Do you think it is worth the extra cost and do they work as well? If you don't use them, would you ever try them?

I use them as much as I can - I think paying extra may not be that necessary because home remedies usually do just as good - For exp- vinegar and water works just as good as Windex. I will usually try to find a home remedies on the Internet first before I buy a "green" product and that usually serves me well. - sites like www.recipegoldmine.com/house/house.html -

I havent quite gone this far yet, but my niece has started making her own cleaners and laundry detergent...she has plans to make soap in the near future! She says that they work just as well as comercial cleaners, but the cost factor is the major difference. She says that it is WAY cheaper to make your own, if you can devote the extra hour or so to do it. Plus the fact that you know what is in it, no nasty chemicals or surprises. I keep saying that I am going to try it, just havent got around to it yet.
