We finally got a Sonics in Michigan...

Big deal, right?... well the thing is for that last 2 yrs or more they have been airing these Sonic Burger commercials here and we dont have any in Michigan at all.
So for the last couple years, they show us these commercials of burgers and specials that look really good, and yet it doesnt do us any good since we would have to leave the state to actually find one of these restaurants..
well we finally got one here!!! I havent been to it yet myself, but on the news they said people were waiting in line for over a half hour for there food...LOL --what a way to open a business, create temptation for years before you actually open up....LOL
Do you have a Sonics near you?? and do you like them? ...what is your favorite?

Hello bookreader and good morning. We have a sonic not too far from us. I live in the south and they are all over the place like McDonald's and burger Kings. We really don't eat there too often. The last time was when they had the bag lunch deal. The burgers were really greasy. The best thing about them is not having to get out of the car to get your order. I love to watch those commercials but their food isn't any better than the other fast food places.

LOL, thank you for the response, I think it will be the same way too, just as they show such great looking food on commercials they are not that way when you get them in person...
but it was a bummer to see the commercials and not be able to try them...LOL

hi bookreadermom...congratulations. i've been in missouri for 15 years. and i've grown to love sonic. i think my favorite is a BLT and tator tots. they have the best tator tots. but also their breakfast burrito is good. i like it with jalepenos. and their cherry limeaide is delicios. also their cream slushs. enjoy your sonic.

I havent tried it yet, but we may get to the new on in about a week just to try them out, I think the commercials always show the food that just makes you think, ok I have to get that....LOL
I cant wait to try their slushes!!!

oh my dear friend bookreadermom...sonic's menu is any time. all items incl breakfast burrito anytime day or night. it's all good no rules. except for happy hour. 2-4 all drinks and slushes half price daily. it's terrific and fun. and their hamburgers taste fresher than mcdonalds. their corn dogs are good too.

they have one they put in downriver on Fort st... and a new one just opened like 2 wks ago in Clinton Twsp, border line Mt. Clemens (groesbeck and cass).... I hope that helps.
