Old fridge - The old fridge, the cupboard will be gone tomorrow

For quite some time now I've been wanting a new fridge. Ours is a side-by-side and it really doesn't work well. It's also old and not very energy efficient. Today we went out and got a new one, the kind with the freezer on the bottom. It's going to get delivered on Tuesday and it looks like we've got a bit of work ahead of us. Right now our fridge is enclosed in a cupboard and the new one is about a half inch too wide and too tall. So we've got to take the cupboard down. I don't really care too much about this because we don't use the cupboard much anyway. There's very few things on top of the fridge and the cupboard to the side will be staying. We're not working tomorrow so we're going to take it down and paint the wall behind it so we'll be ready when the new one arrives. We're pretty anxious to see what effect this has on our utility bill. I know since it's energy effecient it'll help! We're going to have to figure out where to put our calendar though, right now it's on the side wall of the cupboard....

Can you get a calendar with a magnet and stick it to the refrigerator? The side of my refrigerator is open on side so I have things stuck to its side.

I have a ton of magnets, and I'm sure I've got one that is a hook. I'll be looking for it this weekend so we can get the calendar hung up.

We had to get rid of our old fridge (did not match the new stove we got) so we put it downstairs and now it is in the garage waiting for someone from Craig's List to buy it and pick it up. We had to make sure that we had enough width for the new fridge, but it was taller then the old one and it was a side by side. It is energy efficient and it had a section where you can make ice cubes. However, it does not work, but am not going to get anyone in to fix it as we do not use the ice cube thing anyway. We have all our stuff we do not want and the stuff that will discourage people from smoking in our house on the shelf on top of the fridge. Have fun fixing everything up. You'll need it. You will probably pay less for your electricity.

I am looking forward to the electric bill, it should go down a bit with the new appliances. We are keeping the old fridge though so it'll still suck up the same electricity. But it is fun to get new stuff!

I'm hoping it doesn't take too long, I have to go help a friend in the afternoon. We'll get started on it as soon as we get up and moving in the morning.

That the kind we had when I was younger. My mother wants that type again. They do cost a lot. So did my new one. I finally got the one I have been wanting for years. I'm so thrilled to have mine.

So how do you like your new fridge since it was supposed to be delivered yesterday? Nothing like getting a new appliance. Hope it is energy efficient for you as well. I need to replace my appliances but for the time being, I will have to use the one's that I have.
