Hey. I need help picking out a decent motherboard. Cheap, but good. If thats possible. Try to stay around or under $100-120...It needs at least one PCI-Express Slot. I also have a question about the socket types. Obvously not all processors will fit in different sockets. But what processors will fit in what sockets? What is dual core socket? Is dual core in the processor? Or are there two sockets for two processors? Or both? THanx!

Dual-core socket is a place on metherboard where Intel's Dual-Core processor fits in. If you are looking for new board, i recommend Intel boards as they give better performance.

I don't think any motherboard will have two slots for processor if they have they may be new version that is not in my knowldge. I suggest you if you want to go for games you can buy AMD or if you want to use it for long time without shutting it down then i suggest you to go for INTEL.

i dont thing there is any motherboard with two slots for processors. If you need it you may have to go for server machines. No PC can accommodate.A dual core processor means it has two cores.A core is considered as the heart of the processor. Thats where the processes take place.I suggest you an AMD if you wish to have good performance as well as god gaming experience.an AMD 64 bit will do better than an intel. regards parthu
