Does giving someone a positive (+) rating help them?

I have been trying to go back and give everyone a + on their responses because I appreciate them. Is this a help?

yes it does help when someone gives u - it lowers your rate so if you see your rate a number then one minute later its lower some one gave u -. i dont mess with the - i always give a + to discussions i respond to and whoever responds to my even if i dont comment is still rate with +

I give everybody a plus. If they are rude ect i dont give them anything. You all got plusses from me just now
