Hi ronnyb! The most unforgettable ones I love are E.T., Sound of Music (I grew up with this..my mom just loves it..which kinda grew in me..lol), Grease and just like you, I love Star Wars too!
Take care and have a great day!

the first ever soundtrack that caught my heart is the sound of music, faith. then when my kids were in high school, they caught sight of it when it was played in a party.
i was surprised when they bought not only the soundtrack but the copy of the movie, too. then we watched it entirely on vcd, then. it is still so good to see after all these years!

Hi trinidadvelasco! it is nice when the young generation appreciate it also. My mom and I used to watch it over and over again and at that time it is still betamax! And after watching it, we will both sing all the songs together while we are in the kitchen. lol
Take care and have a great day trinidad velasco!

I have the Grease soundtrack, The America Graffitti soundtrack, and my personal favorite that I am not ashamed to admit "Pracilla Queen of the Deseert." You are abosolutely correct, the reason that they are so good is because the music can stand on its own... aside from being part of a good movie.
Happy Mylotting!
