My son gave me the first season on DVD and I'm addicted to it! I don't get the station that it's on but have heard reviews and I always thought it would be something I would be interested in. Once my son saw how much I liked it he got the second and third seasons from a friend of his for me. Once or twice a week my son and his g/f come over and we watch a couple of episodes. I won't watch it without them! Are you a Dexter fan?

I'm a Dexter fan. I really enjoyed the past seasons and now I'm on the most recent season and I'm really enjoying how the story unfolds. The first few episodes of the season were quite boring but as the season went on, it became very interesting.

So far not one episode has bored me and I enjoyed "getting to know" the cast in the first season. So many surprises!

I liked the first season, but the second season was toned down a lot and I got tired of it. For American television, they thought they needed to make Dexter more friendly and normal, and that's a complete falsification of who he is. At least it interested me enough to check the books out of the library. The first one was very good if you have a strong stomach, but the second one (or maybe the third) got into supernatural stuff, which really turned me off. So for me, Dexter is pretty much a one-shot deal.

uh oh...you may have told me too much. So far they aren't into any supernatural stuff! I didn't realize there was a book...have to check that out for my trip. I agree about making him to "normal" but I'm enjoying it all right now.

I think your thinking about the wrong program! Dexter is an adult program and only been on a couple of years now.

I do like Dexter. I didn't catch the beginning of the series but have since become hooked. It's definately an interesting perspective, that he works for law enforcement and then does what he does on the side. I'm able to watch it on a regular basis, and the episode last season where he is able to make the connection between his past and who he is today was phenominal. I may have to go and get teh dvd of the first season just to see what I've missed.

I have seen the commercials. But no I haven't watched the show. We are in the process of switching our tv provider. I really didn't want to get started on a program, then not have the channel. That would just be too frustrating. Glad you enjoy it. And you get bonus family time!
