My brother have some old coins and people say that two of them are rare and he wants to sell them out but we have no idea where to do that. One of them is an old gold coin of 1804 with the liberty on one side and i found that out on the coinfacts.com that its rare. So, i am looking for some information how to sell it or know the actual coin value. Please refer me some sites or information.

I also have some old coins but i don't have such old coins i have coins of the year 1919 i don't have coins older that year. I suggest you to try on ebay because you can get the correct value there many coin hunters are flying on ebay so you can sell the coin there.

I would search your area for a local coin dealer and get them to look at it and give their opinions. I would take the coin to several dealers, then settle on one to get it appraised. One of the dealers may want to buy your coin or you could try an auction site. Don't ever leave the coin with anyone. Even if a coin dealership says it wants to mount the coin or clean it or whatever, tell them you always want to be present. There can be theft of rare coins! Hope your coin is worth a lot! Good luck, hope these tips have helped.

it depends on which country issued the coin and whether it is a normal coin or was issued on a special occasion and it is with special embedded picture, etc coins from this date might get you 50-100$ approx. there are 1000s of people selling new and ancient coins on eBay. its worth tryin there., give it a try

You need to go to the book store and buy a book about coins. The book is blue, and it will tell you what a dealer will pay for them to a point. If the coin is rare then you need to check in to consigning it to an auction house, to sell. Alot of theings go into how valauble the coin is, such as if it has a mint mark, the condition, and the edging is sometimes a factor also.
