fortunate or unfortunate.. or both?

In australia where i live the legal drinking age is 18 and thats when u also get ur licence.. So i had just turned 18 and just got my licence and was out celebrating with my friends. my car was parked outside my friends house where i was staying that night. After a long and very fun night out we got back to her house at 7am only to find my car competely wrecked. i couldnt open my doors there were pieces of it all over the road i had no idea what happened to it. there was nobody around and it wasnt covered by insurance unless the other person owned up. so i cried for an hour or so.. my first car ruined days after i got my licence. i was heart broken i worked hard to buy that car. my mum ended up taking me home and since i hadnt slept and was still a little drunk i went home to bed. all of a sudden my mum bursts into the room and says the person who has wrecked my car has owned up so i jump out of bed and go back around to my friends house where a lady was standing crying. she was drunk and had fallen asleep at the wheel and crashed right into my car. anyway small details aside. her insurance covered the accident and i ended up with $1000 more than i had paid for my car in the first place. so is this bad luck or good? or is it bad luck countered my good? i ended up with a much nicer car in the end only problem was i had to go a few weeks without a car and rely on other people. the end:D
