After Dark Horrorfest 2009.....

Apparently, in the case of the Horrorfest...erm fest... one strike is out. We had just gotten a sparkly new theater, opened about a month and a half before the first Horrorfest 2007 so at the last minute the folks at After Dark films decided to let us participate in their little festival too.
But, and this is the only reason I can come up with, we must not have had enough people attend because in 2008 we were on the list then got pulled two weeks before the festival and then this year we didn't even make it to the list.
This makes me, as an avid fan of good horror movies, and having seen about twelve of the sixteen so far, very very sad.
The great thing about the Horrorfest films is they are vastly independent films without big studios to censor and chop and mutilate a good movie down to a PG-13 rating so the kiddies can see it too. They are raw and straight out of the filmmakers' heads to the celluloid and that makes them wonderful. My favorite so far has been Wicked Little Things, however Penny Dreadful and Crazy 8's were good too....
What about you? Have you seen the After Dark Horrorfest films? If so, were you lucky enough to see them in the theater or did you have to wait for DVD? Which has been your favorite?
