Is Krispy Kremes really THAT good?

I've been hearing about this doughnut brand and I'm really curious. I still haven't tasted anything made by them, and I want to know what sets them apart from the other brands? Someone told me she finds the doughnuts too sweet. What's the real deal about Krispy Kremes?

I really like them. They are sweeter than normal donuts tend to be and when you go into the store they have windows that show the donuts being made. Some of them even give tours to kids so they can see everything about how they are made. I have heard that they do give free ones away, but I don't know when or why. The only thing I don't like is they are about twice the price of other donuts. My family gets them once or twice a year for special treats, but we don't go all the time. They have special types that are unique, too.

When you buy Krispy Kremes right from the shop, when the Hot Light is on and they are pulling your order straight from the conveyer/cooker, they can't be beat by any donut, anywhere, any time. However, if you buy them after they have cooled off, they are no better than any other good donut. You can recapture some of the hot wonder of these tasty little fat pellets by microwaving them for about 10 seconds, but you still only get a ghost of what they should be. And yes, they are very sweet.

Krispy Kreme donuts really are that good I think. Dunkin Donuts are amazing though too. Krispy Kreme donuts are so moist and sugary. They practically melt in your mouth is the way I want to describe them. They used to sell them for fundraisers at our school when I was in high school and they would sell like crazy. I know they are still really popular. I bought my kids donuts the other day to take on a trip. They ate half the package. Its been a few days and I went to eat one today and they were stale so I had to throw them away. I wasnt happy as I hate wasting food. My grandfather used to love stale donuts he would dunk them in his coffee.

I think they have some kind of addicting thing in them. They are so good and if you have ever had them warm OMG. They are the best. I have never tasted such a perfect donut before. They are not to sweet and just so airy. Its really cool to watch them be made as well. Most of the shops you can watch them make the donuts. Yummy.

A few years ago they opened a Krispy Kreme over a hundred miles from me. A school group made a run up there to get dozens and dozens of donuts to sell for a fund raiser so we bought some. Having tried them I can now say I just don't get the hype. They're just donuts and honestly I liked Duncan Donuts better!

No, the first Duncan Donuts opened on the east coast in 1950. They're now franchised across the US and in 29 other countries. My favorite is their lemon cream donut. They're really good.

Oh Dunkin' Donuts! ^_^ For a while there I thought it was some new donut brand. (http://www.dunkindonuts.com/) Aside from the donuts, I love their coffee too. I like it more than Starbucks coffee, it's a whole lot cheaper and they taste exactly the same. Maybe even better considering the price you pay for a cup.

I live in a city where we have a Krispy Kreme shop. I like to go in there when they have the FRESH DONUTS NOW sign lit up. They are AWESOME. I don't go there nearly as much as I would like to...
