Honda Hydrogen Car

Honda have produce a car that basically runs on water, it has similar stats to many normal family cars. The only waste product it produces is ....water. It can be re-fulled in almost the same time as a normal car. I spotted a few reviews of it on various websites and have seen it rated on A few tv shows. Th early version was a small car like a FIAT Punto. But the latest one looks very like the Honda Civic, so its not ugly. Any way my question....why are governments and car manufactures not plowing fist fulls of money into a project like this? Even the petrol companies could get on board converting there pumps to be 1st in line ready for these machines. Surely this must be the way forward? Whats the hold up?

Good question, what is the hold up? I've been watching the development of hydrogen fuel for what seems like ages now. It's so plentiful we'd have 0 energy dependence, and as you mentioned the waste product is water which isn't harmful. I'm hoping this administration will jump on it. We'll see.

I know, it seems very strange. like you i have noted the development of hydrogen technology. From the go-cart to what now seems is a marketable product. The only problem i can see is the hydrogen storage, The creation of Hydrogen storage and installation at petrol stations. But surely they can be incorporated gradually. When people see hydrogen pumps appearing they will start to take notice of the technology. Do you think its a circle going nowhere? Suppliers wont supply cos there is no demand, there is no demand cos there is no supply?
