Do you think priest should get married.Myself in these days,where my religion(catholic) changes there minds on a weekly bases,I think they should for one.1-Leave Women be priests.The Bible says NO,but hey we're really in trouble these days with a lack of priests.I know it did'nt feel very good to see My Church torn down.I got babtised in that church,first communion,and went to church for a long time there.2-Just not enough priests to spread the word of God.The best priest we had here got caught doing things with children,but I wont go any further with that.They most feel like other men at times,they most i think.If they could get married I honestly think it would fix so many problems that my religion is in a mess with.

Where does the Bible say that women can't be priests? That's just bad tradition, I think. Plus, some people are perverts. If all priests are people, then some priests are going to be perverts. That's just how it is. Letting them get married probably won't change whether or not they "do things with children". So it doesn't really matter, but I guess they should be allowed to get married. I'm just not sure it will fix things the way you think it will.

as far as i'm concerned, i never found that priests should not marry, nowhere in the Bible can you find it. Peter is married, Paul is not. he even said if you can't bear better get married so as not to sin.
so singleness is a gift, it is not mandatory that priest should remain single. if they can without sinning then why not but if that will be a source ofsin then better marry.

In the first place it is not in the number of priests that matters but the quality. If all those who came to the seminary are allowed to be priests then the situation in the church and in the world would have been a different one. A single god fearing priest is better than a 1000 worldly ones. This is because people get converted to goodness not by the ordinary homily of an ordinary priest but by the prayers of the many faithful and the preaching of a good priest.
Next, when talking about priests marriage we have to talk god first and not man. It is by the power of god that the catholic church existed for 2000 years and not by the priests or the laity. If god can do that, then he will help all those priests who are facing the temptation of the world.
St.Paul teaches that it is better to remain ,like him(bachelor) rather than married , when serving god. This is because when you are married you will have to divide your time between your god and your family. But an unmarried man can work fulltime for god. When such an advantage is there, why should one get married while the god is their to help you fight temptations. Also when the priest have a family, the possibility of financial misappropriations and other irregularities concerning for eg., the election of Bishops will become common.
