recycling

I sell handmade crafts from home and have recently started to make items by recycling things that would otherwie be thrown out. Actually I'm not sure if its called upcycling or recycling? Anyone? Anyway, do you re/upcycle? Do you make stuff from stuff? incidentally,'scuse the picture, photography is not my strong point! I have a picture of another bigger pair, but I didnt realise we could only upload one photo, oh well, ne'er mind! Do you sell the stuff you make?
The photo below or above (or whatever) is of a few earrings (only one of each, there was no room for both) made from cardboard and nail polish
*Also, as someone seems to have it in for me at the moment,I wanna cover myself by sayin this is not an invitation to buy, and its not advertising.

I am a firm believer in throwing away as little as possible. Things should be reused whenever possible. I have nothing but respect for scavengers (except the ones who are looking to steal an identity, those are vultures), they take thrown away garbage and turn it into useful items.
If the world did this more, maybe we wouldn't have so many miles of land used to hold trash.

agreed, incidentally I have a question, someone is trying to build an incinerator close to where someone I know lives, what would you rather have? a landfill or incinerator?

yeah, industrial incinerators can be quite dangerous to pregnant people too.
