One of my colleagues is bringing her banana in a banana box. Everybody laughed at her banana box. However I do think it is a good invention since it does not soils your bag. Have you heard of the Banana box? Do you store your banana in a banana box? (c) ronaldinu 2009 - the more people I meet-the more I love my dog

Oh bananas! Never heard of a box to store them in. Is it very easy to put in your handbag? Sometimes I would love to have one with me but sometimes I'm not in the right place when I feel like a bite so an anonymous box might just do the trick!

I see a banana box daily because one of my friends bring it to work with her. You can imagine the countless jokes we make about this banana box.

I laughed when I saw this, because I never heard of a banana box. But when I saw the picture, I realized I have seen a similar container for various fruits and vegetables. I actually have one for garlic, and one for onions, and I have seen them for lemons and limes, too. But for some reason, the banana box still strikes me as funny.

Actually the ones I have seen for other produce items is more for storing things in the fridge, especially once cut. The banana box is a great idea, now that I think about it. I stopped bringing bananas to work because they would always get squished, and the box would keep that from happenning.

If I bought bananas more often, it sounds like it would be very useful. It seems like they bruise too quickly, and go bad before most of them are eaten.

I have not heard of a Banana Box before your discussion, but it seems like a good idea to keep your banana form getting all bruised if you pack it in your lunch. Just yesterday I was at the grocery store and saw that they now sell banana racks to hang your bunch of bananas on at home so they don't get bruised or smooshed.

Are there any "As seen on TV" stores" near where you live? There is one in a mall near me and I have seen the banana containers there. It looks and is shaped like a banana made of yellow plastic and one banana fits into it.

I have heard of the invention and it's a good one for people who like it. I just carry my fruit the old fashioned way, in a ziplock. It is a neat invention.

Yes Ronald, I have seen them although I don't own one myself. There is a store in a mall near me and it is called "As Seen on TV" It sells all kinds of gadgets and novelties that cannot be found in any other store. I was there recently to buy a Flavour Wave Oven. It is a countertop appliance that cooks with three sources of heat, halogen, infrared and convection heat. Anyway, while I was there I saw the banana boxes they had. They were shaped like big yellow bananas, made from plastic and a real banana fits inside it. I can imagine the jokes that are made about this bos.

I've never heard of a banana box, what it is? I just store my bananas on the counter, I buy green ones so that they will ripen as they're sitting on my counter.

Hi ya ronaldinu I have seen these they are great but don't have one as yet. For me I would have to buy three, one for each child as they only hold one banana. Here they are quite expensive too especially for a bent plastic box!!. I think there is nothing worse than getting a bruised banana out of your bag or lunch box. Maybe I will get some once the price of them have gone down!!

I have never heard of a banana box before! It does sound like an interesting invention though. I think it would be a good thing to have. Bananas can be messy if they are forgotten about. I would love to find one of these boxes myself and I would send it with my Fiance to work for his bananas!

A banana box sounds like an amazing invention, I would love to have one! I mean it is a rather entertaining thing, definitely something to make fun of, but I am sure it is all in good fun. I can't see how anyone would feel sorry for this girl. In fact, I would use one not only to protect my banana, but also because of the humor in it. You have to make fun of yourself sometimes, and what better way then through a source that you can also benefit from.

i have never heard of a banana box, bananas don't keep any time & i hate that because i don't like them real ripe. i usually buy 2 & eat them right away. i would think putting them in a box would make them ripen quicker.

Hey ronaldinu~I have seen those banana boxes and I happen to think that they are great! They keep the banana from getting all banged up and bruised! It keeps the banana fresh and away from the other foods. I don't think that it's funny, I think it is a great invention! In fact I want one!

I've never heard of a banana box. I store mine on a banana hanger though. They seem to stay fresher longer that way.

I never seen that before, it's a good idea, but I would never use it because I never take bananas with me anywhere.
