I like the movies some people dont like to read them. They like the action in the movie not to just think about whats happening.

yes i knew about the book even before the movie was released and also i have read the book. i think it is always the book which wins the race when it comes to comparison expect for the Lord of the rings. but then i don't have the patience to read that fat a book and that also i felt a bit boring. where as this book or rather all the three books are great and i am waiting for the next part to come out in stall. each and every part in the book is great and i personally think that the movie was not as good as the book showed potential and specially after the lord of the rings, i had high expectations. i think some other director might have done better justice to the movie.

I read the book before I watched the movie. I was highly disappointed. I hated the movie. I have reread the book many times though. With the Chronicles of Narnia movies, I read the books first. I was impressed with the first movie, not as much with the second, but I still saw it multiple times in the theaters. I always like books better than movies. The movies just can't fit everything into two hours.

I read the book and was excited about the movie. But then, i watched the movie, it was a dissapointment for me. I guess, maybe the book is too descriptive and it really cannot be putted in 90 minutes movie. I still read the book though, and still waiting for the 3rd book in Indonesia. Gosh, it takes a year for the book to be on sale in Indonesia's market

I agree with you Viana20. I like to read the book. For me not only descriptive, but also very imaginative. Read the book and then make imagination is my hoby. sometime will be trigger of new idea in my mind.
Ussualy, I see the movie just for remind some action or to compare the imagination of movie director with mine.

I watched the movie first because I was bored and very disappointed in the movie. When I read the book I was surprised on how much the movie left out and I soon got confused on the difference. The book was very descriptive when the movie was boring. I would suggest for anyone who is interested in this series to read the book first and then watch the movie to see the big difference.
