What do you know about "survival" ?

What would you do if America (or any other nation), went
into a very deep and severe depression, somewhere in
the near future?
Would any of us be able to get through it?
I think we as a nation are far too confident in
our elected officials a.k.a. "government," to
TAKE CARE OF US.
Talk about creating a NEW JOB - people who are skilled
in survival techniques, teaching classes within our
cities to help people know what to do and what to
prepare, so that they'd not be overcome by panic.
I did read somewhere, that it might be something to at
least think about.
Obviously the folks that got us into this financial mess,
will NOT have learned their lessons on the consequences
of selfishness, greed, and scheming, so it's very
possible that a repeat performance could dome down the
road.
Maybe some of the folks here should weigh in on what they know
about survival techniques. I'm sure that our ex-soldiers
(and current ones), know about this, and probably many of our
hunting and fishing folks - and of course our wonderful Native
Americans as well.
I am seriously considering starting a list of things that
one might need to get through about a 6 month - 1 yr. time
frame.
What are your thoughts, and what if all of our financial instutions
went BUST, including the banks, the welfare system, and the
Soc. Sec. system? What makes us think that this could NEVER
happen here?

It is happening here. Some of it is in early stages but will get worse before it gets better. We will survive it but it will mean food banks, constantly cutting back and streching food...like Angel Ministries...ect and many adjustments, because prices will get higher before they get lower....so we will have to be tough and smart with resources. I wouldnt count on what the government can do, I would use every resource to help yourself and be very careful.....@ClassyCat (1214)

Thanks for your comment.
It is a scarry sceneario, and many especially the people
40 and under, probably think it could never happen her
in America - but when we see that God has been evicted
from the schools, and other places, and the anti-God
movement picking up pace, there 'is' more on the
horizon, and the God-rejectors will hate reading this.
I've had some getting my messages deleted, because
they can't stand reading about it. Maybe one day
they can lay it all down, and realize that we all
need one another, and many will have to help one
another.
Thanks again for your comment.
Have a great week.

On earth the rule is Survival of the fittest .I hope that Americans can survive any severe depression because they are fittest people and now they have got a fittest president who was born and brought up in fire so he will protect like an umbrella in the recession , for him it will be like suns heat .
