Thge day this photo was taken Savanna, my graqnd daughter, was 4 days shy of being 4 months old. She is at the stage of making and copying the sounds she hears. Well she tries to copy them anyhow. At this time my wife was talking and singing to her as she layed on our couch. My daughter and I must have taken about 100 p[hotos of her as she was singing and cooing etc. She is such a doll. Now, do you make baby sounds to infants to see their reactions? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Making baby sounds to infants to see their reactions is one of my favorite things in all the world to do! What a beautiful little doll Savanna is, Grandpa Bob. I imagine it is pretty easy to take 100s of pictures of her.

Grown adults look and sound silly doing this as well. Yet we continue anyhow as we love it more than the baby does I think.

It's amazing what an adult will do to hear something or see something so sweet come from a baby!

Hi Grandpa Bob. What an adorable picture. And what a joy it most be to listen to her sing and coo. I was not there when my step children were that little so I did not get to enjoy singing to them and seeing their reactions. Looking forward to grandchildren so I can spoil them and enjoy them at that age.

Oh, she is so cute! Yes, I loved to do that with my babies and it became a game with them. We'd spend a lot of time cooing to each other and I would talk to them a lot. In fact, my eldest began to talk around nine months and I think it's because we were so verbal together.

My daughter and I used to do that all the time when she was a baby. Especially when we were in the car. We would imitate each other, and my daughter was absolutely adorable trying to sing. Savanna is just too cute!

Hi Grandpa Bob, Another beautiful photo. I used to love to talk, sing, coo, etc., to my daughter when she was little. Those were very special days, and I know you'll enjoy every minute while Savanna is a baby. The time goes by way too quickly. Unfortunately, I'm not around many babies these days, but do love to have the opportunity to make a fuss, when I am. By the way, your daughter sent me some wonderful photos of Savanna, along with a Christmas card. Her sweet face is now gracing my fridge, so I do get to see her often. Take care.

Awww that is adorable. I miss those times when my son was a baby. He actually likes to sing around the house and at the moment the song that he's been thrashing lately has been "Living on a prayer by Bon Jovi" LOL

Hi Grandpa Bob, First off I just wanted to say your little Savanna is just a cutie pie! To answer your question YES! I LOVE making baby sounds or sing to infants to hear their reactions. When my daughter was an infant I used to do that with her every day! A lot of times she would be so cute I'd start to cry! I always cried on all of her firsts too! Hugzz, PurpleTeddyBear xx

Hi webeishere! Well, kids are one of those blessings bestowed upon us by the Almighty Lord which provide us to relax from all those tensions of everyday life. Yes, indeed I do try to make such sounds to my little daughter of 7 months. It makes not only to play with little angels but also a mean to RELAX. What I do believe about this action is GETTING FREE OF COST THERAPY against the tensions. Since you are most senior to me in this case , :) as u are GRANDPA and I am still PAA. Hehehe Thanks for sharing your precious experience of life. God Bless u!

I remember when my grand daughter was this age. So cute when they copy sounds that they hear. Now that Sophia is 16 months old, it is nice to hear her copy the words that we say. I also love taking pics of Sophia as well. Having a digital camera allows me to take pics of her that I wasn't able to capture with my own daughters.

My daughter was one of those babies that tried to copy you from a really young age. I never did the baby sounds with her though. I have always talked to her in full sentences and did not use baby talk with her. Her vocabulary is much better than my son at the same age. I talked baby talk to him. She is a doll by the way!

Yes! My Grandson is five months now and hes doing this also. I was teaching him to saw hello and he can copy me well. He said Dada a few days ago. They are so cute when they do this and I cherish every moment, as I know how quickly my fours daughters are growing up and I do not want to miss a thing with my Grandson.
