I was wondering what your favorite Stephen King book might be. I have read the book called "The Dark Half" many years ago and it was a pretty thick paperback. Just wondering how many fans are out there.

For me with Stephen King it is hit and miss. Some of them are great..ie Bag of Bones, and some of them are horrible..ie Insomnia. I loved Green Mile!! That was probably my favorite by him. His books are always so much better than the movies that they make from them too.

I have never been able to get through 'Insomnia'. I've tried a few times but I just can't seem to get into it.

I am a big fan and have read the majority of his novels. I just love his writing style, I think he could write a manual for an air conditioner and I would happily read the whole thing. He writes the way people talk and think, he isn't condescending with his use of language the way some accomplished authors can be. I think my all time favorite book was 'The Stand'. I am just starting to read the fifth installment of the Dark Tower series now and while I was a little hesitant at first I am absolutely glued to it now. Just an all around enthralling story.

I'm a big fan of Stephen King. Although it's been a while seen I've read some of his books, there are a few which I still remember clearly, Some of my favourites are Carrie and The Girl who love Tom Gordon. I like his writing style, it's very vivid, realistic and full of emotions.

I am a big Stephen King fan, have been since I can remember, the first book of his that I read was Carrie and I could only have been 14 or 15 years old. After that I bought everything he wrote and waited with baited breath for his next book, when I had finished his latest. As someone else mentioned, my all time favourite would be The Stand, I have read it twice, and thanks for the reminder, I want to read it again.
