Our JCPenny's is closing here

The recession is really hitting hard here in our town. Three stores in our local mall are closing their doors. I had just found out last night that the JCPenny's here is closing their doors due to the lack of sales. I work for Wal Mart and our sales have been still holding pretty steady. Claire's and Regis (haircutting) have also closed up. How are things in your area? I am hoping that things turn around, I am greatful that I have a job and also a little sad for the families that are struggling here. What are your thoughts and how have things been in your area?
