He Did It! He Went Potty In His Potty Chair!

I am so happy! 
My 2 year old son just went potty for the first time in his potty chair. I know this isn't something that you would think you would get excited about but for a mother or father who is trying to potty train a child it is an exciting event. Of coarse, I had to say, "YEAH, you went potty just like a big boy!". I was so excited and he got up off the potty and pointed at it. He knew he had done something big too. I think encouraging them and letting them know that they did something that made mommy happy is the best thing you can do. I think it help encourage them to keep up the good work. What did you do the first time your child went potty in the potty chair?

Hooray!!! I'm still having a hard time convincing my 2 year old and 7 month daughter to go to the bathroom when she pees. I guess not all kids can be forced. In their own time I'm sure! When she does though, she really boasts to everyone what she did. Kids never fail to amuse me.

Congratulations! THAT is a milestone!The first time my toddler went, i was so happy and yes, as she was bragging it to me, I kept giving her praises and that everyone was so proud of what she did. It is also priceless when you see the smile on their faces as if saying : I DID SOMETHING RIGHT MOM!" LOL!
