You know what they all say that newborns don't really smile because they are happy but because they are passing gass or something tickles their belly. Well i find that hard to believe for the last several days my 2 week old son has been smiling at me left and right and i have to say its the most adorable thing i have ever seen you think i cried when he came out boy i cried more when i saw that first smile and have almost cried at every smile after that especially the big gummy smiles that i get every now and again. Anyone else have a smiling child?

My son is almost 7 weeks old. And we have gotten a few really good smiles. I think it is an awesome experience. I love it when both my kids smile. They grow quickly, so enjoy each smile. Wait til you get on with just a single tooth sticking out. It will be unforgettable!

..oh.. we actually share the same experience.. my baby girl is 4 months old now and I want to spend every hour of the day with her just to see her smile.. however, I am working so I can't be with her the whole day.. After office hours, I really do my best to go home immediately because I miss her.. you see, even if I'm tired, I feel relax and happy seeing her when I go home in the afternoon..

When my son was a baby he would smile all the time. Those first smiles are real and very precious. As he became an older baby he would wake up laughing instead of crying what a joy he was. He still is but hes a teen now.
