I was not able to open my e - mail address for 2 weeks. And guess what?I got 4,654 spam mails. It is really irritating to these messages right? In the first place we don't benefit from it. They are just garbage in our e mail. And the bad thing about this is that we cannot control those spam mails. They can come anytime without prior notification to us. We have no choice but to delete those messages. What about you?what is the highest number of spam mails you get?are you also irritated?

Gosh, I know exactly what you mean! I often see that I have 50/60 emails in my inbox, and of those, as little as 20 are genuine emails. I hate getting spam emails; it often makes me wonder where on earth they got my email address from in the first place! But I just mark them all as junk so then if the same people ever send me anything again, it should hopefully go straight into the junk folder!

once i went to china, and i couldn't check my email for a month. when i got back, i had 10000 spam emails, and i was out of inbox space so nobody could send me any e-mails! However i found a solution. if you go to the bottom of some of the e-mails, just like 2 a day, you can say unsubscribe. so after i unsubscribed about 2 a day, after a month almost all the spam is gone! i HATE spam though. it's not like anybody actually reads it, so why send it??

The only solutions is to change your email address or install anti spam program which filters spam emails. If this email address is your personal, I would suggest to change it to other because there are few good email services as gmail.com for example. If the email address is for your work then ask your IT administrator to set your email against spamming.

On my lifetime experience, I got 10,000+ spam mails in my e-mail. My e-mail provider got its spam folder so no hussle for me. Once I have marked a certain sender as a spammer, every e-mail that he will send will directly go to my spam folder. But those spam e-mails that I get upon subscription to some site, I just allocate a certain folder for them and filter them. That way, my e-mail retains its neatness. In addition, e-mails that needs my attention will be filtered by me manually because they are all in my inbox. And if ever I got tired of those e-mails that I saved for quite some time, I can just always press the "Empty" button. And *poof!*. Bye bye spam e-mails!

i once read that responding to spam mails confirms our address to the spammers so be very careful what u do with spam other than deleting it! i too get a lot of spam and the idea of unsubscribing 2 a day sounds good, if it does not work as a confirmation like i mentioned...

Honestly, the only irritating thing about spam mail would be that some real mail get mixed with them and if I don't look through my spam inbox, I might accidentally delete an email that someone I know sent me. They ,ight find it rude if they don't receive any replies.. I have already deleted over two thousand spam mail.. I just looked for the mails that were recently sent and not the ones that were already from a few days ago.. Then again, chances are that I could still have regular mail sent to my spam inbox.. [b](_

Hi there rberon1985! I do receive a lot of spam mails daily. Yes, I also have experienced not being able to go online for a couple of days and once I log in, thousands of spam can be found in my inbox. It is in fact, very irritating. What makes it more irritating is that we can't just dlete all them all at the same time as there may be important mails somewhere in between.

Oh tell me about it, I get those a lot and it really bugs me to see them get through the anti-spammer at times. Whew they're such a pain misleading you to think that you're getting an email of something important then when you open it it's only spam mail! Whew. I hope these people would get it that people don't want these. Do these spam mails ever gain something from messing with people? Do they truly get customers in the end?

Can't remember the highest number of spam I have gotten, but I have been up there in the hundreds when I was travelling and couldn't check my email. The bad thing about spam is that sometimes legit emails gets sent there and thus if you fail to check throughly you can delete important emails. I have done it and got really upset after...spam is not cool

I really hate spam mails. Gosh! Spammers are just wasting my time putting their mails into garbage. Wheww! Oh spammers why do you exist? In just 2 days I wasn't able to open my mails spam mails are already flooding especially from that Adlandro community. Please stop spammers.

Well, I have been on-line now for just over 10 years and I have come to accept that spam is part of the deal. It can be irritating, but I don't think they are every going to go away sometime soon. I use hotmail and Yahoo addresses, and most of them are automatically filtered into spam folders. My e-mail address I use with Outlook is only used by friends and family, so I rarely get any spam because I don't leave my Outlook e-mail addresses on websites - because that is where the spamming spiders harvest e-mail addresses. :-) Derek

i have a Yahoo e-mail and it doesn't seem to allow as much spam as the other e-mails do. I think once you designate it as spam, Yahoo filters it out before it get to your spam account. I don't know for sure, I'm just guessing. What ever they do I like it.

I get alot of spam mails too! Some in the past have knocked me off my web page but never off e-mail!! I have 3 e-mail addresses, one is through Yahoo. The one I use through work is the one I get the most spam! Some days it is so bad it takes half my break to clean out the spam! I know and it has been irritating! Some days you just want to scream! It gets fustrating to when you could be doing other things on the computer then cleaning up spam!

great topic. I've been having the same problem in my office e-mail add since last year. I already ask the assistance of our IT group but still they could not work it out to filter-out those spam e-mails. I think it hits our domain that almost all of us suffered this disturbance. just 3 weeks ago, I installed a trial version of a spam filter. It did work well and filtered almost 85 percent of the spam. But after the trial period I uninstalled it coz its too expensive to buy the licensed version. From there on my PC keeps on hanging and eventually hard disk gives up. I dont know if it was caused by the program or just coincidence.

The most I have gotten in a 2 week period is 10,500 (not the exact number, but in that range). I just hit Gmail's "Delete All Spam" and it's gone. Spam is annoying, I agree! There will never be a way to completely get rid of them, even if your e-mail server is set to never allow the same Spam back into the Spambox. Now, why do I have a hankering for some Spam....
