who is responsible for late marriage either boy or girl side?

Nowadays, average marriage age for girls become 26. Just 5 years back it was 22. Why this age has been increased. Is this happened by boy's parent or girl's parent? Reason may be girl is also earning money and educated and they dont want to listen boy or his parent's word even those are good advices. Who is responsible for late marriage either boy(or boy's parents) or girl(or girl's parents)?
